ISLAMABAD: Nov 29. 2022: An Islamabad District and session court has extended physical remand of Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) senator, Azam Swati, till December 3, 2022.
Azam Swati is under arrest for using extremely abusive language against top military leadership.
The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) had arrested Azam Swati for his obnoxious tweet targeting top generals of Pakistan army. The investigating agency was previously granted his 2-day physical remand. After expiry of granted remand, FIA had produced Azam Swati before the court to seek his more physical remand.
The court on Tuesday heard the arguments of both sides and granted another 4-day physical remand of the accused . Azam Swati will be produced before the Islamabad district and session judge on December 3, 2022.
Earlier , Azam Swati was arrested in an identical case and he remained in the custody of the Islamabad police for a few days . He was later bailed out by the court.
Azam Swati who is an international criminal and a known fraudulent character took the relief from the court as a new chance to malign the army top brass. Azam Swati is a blue-eyed of Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan, for his anti army rants.
Azam Swati may get different treatment this time for his filthy campaign against the military leadership . Around one dozen plus first information reports (FIRs) have been registered against this PTI swindler for using extremely obnoxious language against the military leadership and he will be booked in identical cases in Balochsitan, Sindh and other provinces of Pakistan.
In a separate development . Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA) has banned coverage of Azam Swati on all electronic TV channels.
