Deputy Interior Minister Saudi Arabia Calls on PM Shehbaz

Discussed implementation of MoUs between Saudi Arabia and Pakistan for Saudi investment of USD 2.8 in Pakistan.

Islamabad (Newsman): Dr. Nasser bin Abdul Aziz Al Dawood, Deputy Interior Minister of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, paid a courtesy call to the Prime Minister today on an official visit to Pakistan.

The Prime Minister wished the Saudi Deputy Interior Minister a successful visit and welcomed him to Pakistan.

He also sent greetings and best wishes to His Majesty King Salman bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud, the Custodian of Two Holy Mosques, and to His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia.

The prime minister recalled the two countries’ long-standing, friendly relationship and thanked the Saudi government and leadership for their unwavering support of Pakistan.

He also stated that both sides were collaborating to cement Pakistan-Saudi Arabian ties into profitable economic and investment partnerships.

The Prime Minister conveyed his contentment with the implementation of the Memorandums of Understanding between Saudi Arabia and Pakistan with regard to the Saudi investment of USD 2.8 in Pakistan.

PM and Interior Minister also discussed the situation in Gaza and the Middle East. The Prime Minister remembered the recent Arab-Islamic Summit in Riyadh and praised Saudi Arabia’s leadership for hosting the meeting and Saudi Crown Prince HRH Mohammed bin Salman’s position on the Palestine problem.

In light of Israel’s homicidal acts in Gaza, the Prime Minister praised Saudi Arabia’s leadership position and HRH Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman’s efforts to bring the Ummah together to work toward an end to the violence there.

The Prime Minister emphasized the importance of defense and security cooperation and said the Deputy Interior Minister’s and his delegation’s visit would assist in strengthening ties between the two sides in these delicate areas.

In addition, the prime minister reaffirmed his offer to His Royal Highness Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman to visit Pakistan on an official basis as soon as possible, adding that the Pakistani people were ready to welcome him with open arms.
