ISLAMABAD: Prime minister. Imran Khan, has said Riasat e Madina model could help Muslims regain their lost glory and it was responsibility of Muslim elders to educate new generations on golden principles laid down by the Islam to establish a real welfare society in the country
He said the countries like Switzerland and some others established their societies on the model of Riasat e Madina and made progress for welfare of their people.
The prime minister was addressing a ceremony held here on Thursday in connection with launching of portal for facilitating Pakistani students studying abroad. He said the government will make the process of scholarships awarded to Pakistani students for study in foreign universities transparent. He said his government holds top priority to transparency, merit and uplifting of deserving individuals of the society to help Pakistan become a state based on the principles of Riasat e Madina. He said the Riasat e Madina changed the entire society in short time and produced nobles who led the whole world to establish the best ever social economic system for betterment of the whole human being.
Prime minister said Pakistani students had complaints of wrongdoing in getting funds for studies, but now the portal launched today will address these all issues and ensure smooth supply of funds of scholarship to the students to help them continue their studies in foreign universities.
He said Pakistan was blessed with great potential and it could be utilized for turning the country into a competitive power in today’s fast transforming world.
Earlier, Federal Education Shafqat Mahood told the participants of the ceremony that Pakistan Tehreek e insaf (*PTI) allocated Rs 123 billion for higher studies and it was the highest ever budgetary allocation in the last 74 years history of Pakistan. He said the government wants to give due importance to the education to turn Pakistan into an educated society. Shafqat Mahmood added that the government will ensure dedicated funds allocated under scholarship schemes to Pakistani students to help them continue their studies without any hassle.
