Earthquake with 5.8 magnitude jolts northern parts of Pakistan

ISLAMABAD : Jan 5, 2023: An earthquake of 5.8 magnitude struck different parts of Pakistan on Thursday.

According to a National Seismic Monitoring Centre Islamabad of Pakistan Metrological Department (PMD), earthquake of 5.8 magnitude hit Islamabad , Peshawar and some other parts of Pakistan .

Hindu Kush region in Afghanistan was the centre of the earthquake , the National Seismic Monitoring Centre Islamabad reported .

Earthquake jolted high rise buildings in Islamabad and other cities in northern region of Pakistan.

According to the National Seismic Monitoring Centre Islamabad , earthquake struct at 7.25 pm on Thursday.

The National Seismic Monitoring Centre Islamabad , On January 4 an earthquake of 4.3 magnitude had hit Lahore and many other cities of Punjab province. However , no loss of human lives and property was reported from any part of Pakistan .
