QUETTA: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Acting President Yousuf Raza Gilani, and other political leaders have strongly condemned the suicide bombing at Quetta’s railway station earlier this morning, which claimed the lives of at least 24 people and left 40 others injured.
‘Terrorists Will Pay a Heavy Price’
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif issued a statement condemning the deadly blast and directed the Balochistan government to prioritize medical aid for the injured.
He vowed that the terrorists responsible for this attack, which targeted innocent civilians, would face severe consequences. He reaffirmed the government’s and security forces’ firm commitment to eliminating terrorism and called for a detailed inquiry into the incident.
‘Terrorists Are Enemies of Humanity’
Acting President Yousuf Raza Gilani condemned the attack, describing terrorists as “enemies of humanity” who deliberately harm innocent lives.

Offering condolences to the bereaved families, Gilani emphasized the government’s resolve to take all necessary measures to stamp out terrorism in the country.
Bilawal Bhutto Zardari Expresses Condolences
Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari expressed deep sorrow over the loss of innocent lives in the bombing. “I share the grief of the families who have lost their loved ones, and I wish for the speedy recovery of those injured,” he said in his statement. Bilawal reaffirmed his party’s support for efforts to eliminate terrorism and its facilitators.
Interior Minister: ‘This Is a Battle for All of Us’
Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi also condemned the attack, calling it an “inhumane and barbaric act.” Expressing sorrow over the loss of lives, including children, he extended his condolences to the families affected.

Naqvi emphasized the collective responsibility of the nation in the fight against terrorism, stating, “This is a battle for all of us, and with the support of the people, it will continue until every terrorist and their facilitators are eradicated.”
CM Balochistan Orders Inquiry
Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfaraz Bugti condemned the bombing, ordering an immediate inquiry into the incident. He noted that the terrorists had shifted their focus to targeting innocent civilians, including women and children, in an attempt to instill fear. However, he vowed that these terrorists would never succeed in their malicious goals.
The authorities are now investigating the attack, which has left the nation in mourning while spurring renewed calls for action against terrorism.
