Multan; Dec 12, 2022: England won the test series by defeating Pakistan by 26 runs in the second test match played at Multan Stadium here. Against the target of 355 runs, the entire team Pakistan could score only 328 runs.
Saud Shakeel scored 94 runs in the 90s. Mark Wood dismissed 4 Pakistan players from England.
Pakistan’s Saud Shakeel and Faheem Ashraf opened the fourth day’s play with 198 runs with 4 wickets down.
Pakistan’s fifth wicket fell for 210 runs, with Faheem Ashraf scoring 10 runs. He fell victim to root bowling.
Mohammad Nawaz came in after Faheem Ashraf’s dismissal, Saud Shakeel and Mohammad Nawaz put together a valuable partnership of 80 runs for the sixth wicket, and thanks to this partnership England’s bowlers looked under pressure for the first time in the entire match.
