Establishment always had role in national politics : Dr Alvi

ISLAMABAD: President, Dr Arif Alvi, on Friday claimed that establishment always had a role in national politics.
The president made these assertions during his interview given to various local private TV channels. He explained his these assertions in his very next breath and clarified that there was no harm in establishment role in national politics if it remains within prescribed constitutional limits.

The president also spoke at lenght on almost every important national issue like presidential government system, Afghan situation, India’s role in terrorist attacks on Pakistan, Indian brutalities in occupied Kashmir in his interview. He made another stunning disclosure that there had been debate on presidential government system at many important forums and it was also debated in the government meetings. Dr Arif Alvi said system is not an issue. The actual problem lies in delivery of the system.
Regarding Afghanistan issue, the president said the United States (US) strategy has failed in Afghanistan.
He deplored that despite big contribution in sorting out Afghanistan crisis, Pakistan was accused of US failure in that country. Dr Arif Alvi asserted that in recent past , India used Afghanistan soil for terrorist attacks on Pakistan. He called Hindu extremism a real threat to India. The president said Pakistan was struggling for persuading the global community that their financial support for new Afghan government was must to avert looming humanitarian crisis in Afghanistan.
