LAHORE : Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PMLN) leader, Atta Tarar , on Thursday claimed that former prime minister, Imran Khan, was among beneficiaries of alleged corruption done by Farah Gogi , a close friend of his spouse …Bushra Bibi, in Punjab during Buzdar regime.
Addressing a press conference here, the PMLN leader claimed that Farah Gogi was a “Benami” of former prime minister, Imran Khan. Mr Tarar said ” Farah Gogi had a role in appointing Usman Buzdar as chief minister though he had no credentials for such a slot and its link was with Bani Gala”. Bani Gala is residence of former prime minister , Imran Khan. When the PMLN or anybody else refers Bani Gala actually the reference goes to former prime minister and his spouse Bushra Bibi. Farah Gogi is an old, but trusted friend of former first lady. Imran Khan’s nikkah with Bushra Bibi was held at l Farah Gogi’s residence in Lahore in early 2018.
The PMLN leader added that Imran Khan had handed over entire Punjab province to Farah Gogi for making ill-gotten money and former prime minister and his wife Bushra Bibi were its direct beneficiaries . He said PMLN was questioning Imran Khan over his source of income to live such a luxurious life,but he always remained unanswered and now Farah Gogi’s ill-gotten wealth proved that real source of former prime minister’s income was Farah Gogi’s corruption .
” Imran Khan sahib if you do not know Farah Gogi what made to spring -up in her defence “, Atta Tarar questioned.
According to the PMLN leader , Farah Gogi made money through transfers / postings in Punjab during Buzdar rule . He said Farah Khan had assets of Rs 210 million in 2018 , which grew to Rs 850 million in 2021. He said Imran Khan’s desperation in Farah Gogi alleged corruption case itself narrates the real story that the lady made money on behalf of former prime minister.
Farah Gogi had flown to Dubai soon after dismissal of Imran government in centre . Her slipping out of Pakistan makes allegations of corruption against her more serious .
Atta Tarar blamed Imran Khan that he facilitated Farah Gogi to flee from Pakistan .
