IRA, FBR agree to install POS integration system at restaurants in Islamabad

ISLAMABAD: Islamabad Restaurant Association (IRA) President Khurram Khan and other representatives met Chief Commissioner Regional Tax Office Ayesha Khalid here.
During the meeting, the IRA President said that point of sale integration system is already installed in more than 50% of the restaurants in Islamabad and it will be launched in the rest of the restaurants soon.
He also raised the issue of unnecessary crackdowns on restaurants by FBR officials and conveyed the concerns of the members of the association. On behalf of IRA, Khurram Khan also assured to Ayesha Khalid and her team that they will not participate in strike related to tier one retailers.
Chief Commissioner Regional Tax Office Ayesha Khalid appreciated the co-operation from the IRA and assured that the reservations would be removed in the near future.
Deputy Commissioner FBR Headquarters Sarwat Malik was also present in the meeting.
