Islamabad : Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) on Tuesday arrested five Capital Development Authority (CDA) officers who were allegedly involved in fake allotments of plots in different sectors of Islamabad .
An official handout issued by Mr Ghafoor , spokesman of FIA, said the accused were arrested after cancellation of their interim bails by the court .
The CDA accused who were involved in fake allotments of plots in the name of fake affectees included Asghar Ali, Raja Shoab Malal , Tamour Ahmad , Anayatullah and Aftab Ahmad .
According to the details , the arrested CDA officers allotted plots in the name of fake allottees in Sector E- 11 I-14 and D-13. The accused accepted that they allotted 43 plots in different sectors of Islamabad . The value of the plot allotted by the accused in different sectors of Islamabad caused loss of one billion rupee to the national exchequer.
FIA spokesman said an operation is underway to arrest facilitators and co-accused of the arrested CDA officers. FIA has initiated investigations into the case .
