Islamabad : Finance minister , Muhammad Aurangzeb, has left for the US to attend annual winter meetings of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and World Bank .
As per an official announcement made here , Fiance minister , Mr Aurangzeb , has a busy schedule for his US visit. He will meet on the side of IMF and WB annual meetings with the senior economic officials of US, UK , China , UAE and Turkyia.
He will also meet with the officials of Pakistan’s bilateral donors during his stay in the US. Finance minister Mr Aurangzeb is also going to have an interactive session with international media persons to share with positivity of Pakistan’s economy during his visit to the US.
The annual meetings of IMF and WB are held in Washington US and economic teams across the globe attend these meetings. These meetings of global monetary institutions review the progress of their borrowers, besides taking stock of global future economics and their financial needs for one year.
These meetings also work as a blueprint by the monetary institutions to prepare a strategy for lending to their potential borrowers on year -to-year basis.
