Food of thoughts

A video was shared with me by my former colleague Col Manzar Hayat, from the famed Guide Cavalry with memorial built for the same British regiment built in Mardan for the troops who died in Afghanistan during the 2nd Anglo Afghan War fought between the British and my immediate ancestors, sbowing a few young Afghans accusing Pakistan of hosting Al-Qaeda leadership.

As a Pakistani these accusations hurt when the Afghan Hero of the 2nd Anglo Afghan War Ghazi Sardar Ayub is buried in Peshawar when our own founder of the Awami National Party of Pakistan late Ghaffar Khan buried on the Afghan soil to promote harmony between the two brotherly nations sharing common cultural and traditional affinities over and above the common faith that both can not sell for money being kept poor and needy by the powerful and the rich nations for a reason sensing their potential of progress and prosperity .

The accusations in this sponsored demonstration against Pakistan is mostly unfounded, as Americans have the second largest Embassy based in Pakistan why the CIA failed to arrest them if they were kept in here in Pakistan.

Osama had already died of renal failure being a sick man, the paleness on his face was always visible and, the rest of it was an orchestrated drama by the sly Obama administration to win elections otherwise why would the World No 1 terrorist’s body buried in the sea and not displayed as a trophy and justification for a trillion dollars war.

Afghans better learn to know their friends and foes as Pakistan never wanted to harm Afghanistan or hurt Afghans except the Americans pushed us into this quagmire and betrayed both the countries to keep licking their wounds and accusing each other instead of the power that destroyed them and their relations.

I wonder if Shaikh Rashid could be appointed as the all powerful Interior Minister for just one qualification of having dodged the police on motorbike in the streets of Rawalpindi and then lighting a cigar, the western actor style, atop a police armoured vehicle then why can’t Lt. Gen Nawabzada Tariq Khan of Tank Waziristan appointed as Governor KPK with the right tribal understanding having already won our war against the militants. And why not employ Honourable Hussain Abdullah Haroon, as Pakistan’s Special Ambassador and Rapporteur for Afghanistan to take the powerful nations by their horns to back off then fuel the fire in our back yard.

I am not be mistaken to be promoting the above two personalities as both are incidentally family friends and fortunately apolitical with no ambitions having lived a full and contended life but their capabilities make them an ideal choice for the country in these difficult and challenging times. We better act now to preempt then wait and then react when the fire reaches our courtyard.
