ISLAMABAD: Ayaz Sadiq is in the line of fire for ridiculing the armed forces in parliament as federal Interior minister , Ejaz Shah, publically confirmed the government was preparing a case to invoke article 6 of the constitution against PML N MNA for his abhoring act.
While addressing a ceremony on Saturday in Nankana Sahib, his hometown Ejaz Shah disclosed the government’s legal team was deliberating upon petitions filed by the public against Ayaz Sadiq and it will be followed by invoking the article 6 for what he called ” wilful inciting of Pakistan’s key state institution”.
The minister said ” He swears opposition was targeting the state institutions like the military and judiciary to cover up its plundered money”.
Ayaz Sadiq , MNA from Lahore and former speaker of the lower house, had chided the military leadership in his unprecedented anti- armed forces speech on the floor of the house last week.
PMLN MNA selected the national assembly to ridicule the armed forces of Pakistan on purpose .
He probably selected the national assembly to hit the military leadership to make the institution of the military controversial and give a message to anti Pakistan forces that PMLN was strong enough to incite Pakistan army while standing in Islamabad.
He damn cared to think of public backlash over his act particularly meant for undermining Pakistan’s security institution. His assessment proved fatally incorrect. He is facing harsh reaction from his voters for his action of inciting the armed forces. The people of his constituency have pasted posters demanding major punishment for him for intentionally ridiculing the state organ.
In his tirade, Ayaz Sadiq had claimed that Pakistan’s political and military leadership could not sustain the pressure of New Delhi that resulted in release of Indian downed pilot Abhinandan last year.
Ayaz Sadiq’s utterance hit in the headlines of Indian media within no time, but it created a storm in Pakistan.
The people across Pakistan stood up to demand exemplary punishment to PMLN member national assembly for demeaning the institution of Pakistan military and intentionally changing Pakistan’s victory over India in February 2019 to defeat.
The public reaction is unending and the people want the government to fix Ayaz Sadiq for his treacherous role in the national assembly.
