Dr Professor Farkhanda Zia , a big name in research , teaching and setting a direction of Pakistan’s educational system right , took her last breath on June 22,2025 . Her demice, being a national loss, was announced at many forums like Facebook , Whatsapp and a formal condolence seminar was also held in Islamabad to acknowledge her services to Pakistan in the crucial field of education and research . On top of her services to the nation as an educationist and researcher, Dr Furkhanda Zia had also served as a peace ambassador of Pakistan. She also severed as a member of CII.
Shariah Academy published a message on her death . This message is available on Google .
This message reads as “Shariah Academy Islamabad published a message on June 22 this year to mourn death of Professor Dr Farkhanda Zia and said a distinguished Scholar of Shari’ah and Law, Educator, and Leader took her last breath on the day of June 22, 2025”.
The message further said “It is with profound sorrow that Shari’ah Academy along with the academic and legal communities of Pakistan and beyond mourn the passing of Professor Dr. Farkhanda Zia on 22 June 2025. A trailblazing jurist, seasoned academic, and devoted reformer, Professor Dr. Farkhanda Zia’s passing leaves an indelible void in the intellectual and institutional landscape of Islamic jurisprudence and comparative law”.
How unfortunate is it . The government is unaware of death of a prominent personality of Pakistan and those who moved a summary from the Federal Education and Professional Training ministry for her appointment as member of NRKNA after death shocked the people of this country. Will anyone be held accountable for it or these BABOOS will keep doing such criminal acts in the future as well?.
