RIYADH (Saudi Arabia) : Nov 13, 2022: “Fikar o fun”, a local literary organization held an evening for renowned poet and literate , Ashfaq Hussain here “Fikhar o fun” had invited Asfhaq Hussain for the event especially from Canada.
The guests who participated in ‘Mahfil-e-mishara’ included Pakistan’s counselor , Khawar Tauseef, famous Pakistani businessman, Shakeel Ahmad Kayani and Iqbal Qamar.
Chauhdary Riaz, president of literary organization ‘Fikar o fun’ presided over the Mahfil mishaira. The local poets and literate were invited for the event. A large number of males and females having love for literature and poetry turned up to attend the ‘Mahfil e mishaira’.
Young poet , Waqar Nasim Wamiq, performed the role of a Nazim for the evening and Doctor Tariq Aziz, organizer of “Halqa Fiker o fun” presented “Siasi nama” at the evening.
Chief guest, Ashfaq Hussain, briefed the participants about his literary writings and books he wrote for his readers. He shed light on the concept of life and enlightened the participants of his professional contribution to the human life. Ashfaq Hussain presented his poetic work to make the evening coloruful.
Divulging his insight about the evening and the efforts made by the literary organization ‘Fiker o fun’, Ashfaq Hussain said he has traveled to Riyadh for the first time and found the efforts made by this literary organization extremely important. He said the love he gathered from this ‘Halqa Ahbab’ is great asset for him which will go with him lifelong.
He opined that the ‘Fiker o fun’ is making valuable contribution for literate and poetry and it will inspire all those who have love for poetry and literate.
President ‘Fiker o fun’ , Dr Riaz Chaudhar, in his address said there was no different opinion that literature is a face of any civilization and poetry is beauty of the face. He said poetry evolves constructive approach among those who listen to it, besides inspiring those who listen beautiful poetry. He said ‘Halqa Fikro fun’ is struggling for the last four decades for promotion of literature. He said it’s a good omen that Ashfaq Hussain is today with us and his presence provided us an opportunity to listen his great work of poetry and literature. A good number of local poets also joined with Ahsfaq Hussain in the evening and presented their poetic work These poets included Ghazala kamrani , Saira Tauseef, Shahnaz Qureshi, Zafar Iqbal, Qalibe Abbas, Iqbal Qamar, Masood Jamal and Dr Riaz Chaudhary. The participants liked the work of all these poets.
Earlier , Zafar Iqbal and his spouse, Arooj Asghar , presented bouquet to Asfhaq Hussain. Indus Culture and Social Forum president, Abdul Qadar Milah presented a traditional Sindhi shawl to Ashfaq Hussain. ‘Halqa Fikro fun’ general secretary , Waqar Nasim Wamiq, gave vote of thanks to all poets, writers and participants who came all along from distant destinations to participate in the evening. Pak-Saudi Forum president, Zaka ullah Mohsin was awarded a shield for contribution in journalism.
