‘Help flood affectees’, pleads army chief on

RAWALPINDI: September 10, ,2022: Army chief , Qamar Javed Bajwa , has said Pakistan is planning to avoid floods related devastation by building new dams in the country .

The army chief who visited various flood affected districts in Sindh and had observed the relief works , said on Saturday that coping with the challenge of flood waters and rehabilitation of the millions of affected people is a big challenge and its prime obligation of those who have resources that they should come forward and help their brothers and sisters who are facing the most difficult times .

The army chief in particular , urged upon the rich and business commity that they should contribute to help the flood affectees .

According to Inter Serviced Public Relations (ISPR,) ,
COAS Qamar Javed Bajwa visited far flung areas of interior Sindh in Dadu district. COAS spent time with flood affected people in relief & medical camps. *COAS directed the formation for providing 5000 tents to flood affected people of Dadu and surrounding areas*.

COAS also interacted with troops busy in rescue & relief activities.
Later, COAS was flown for aerial reconnaissance of flood affected areas of Dadu , Khairpur Nathan Shah, Johi, Meher and Manchar Lake.
