Islamabad, (Newsman): The world tour of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 officially began in Islamabad on Saturday, marking the start of an exciting journey for the prestigious trophy.
On its first day, the trophy was showcased at the iconic Faisal Masjid before making its way to the Pakistan Monument in the heart of the capital. Former Pakistan cricketer and fast-bowling legend Shoaib Akhtar attended the launch ceremony to celebrate the occasion.
The trophy’s journey continued with a visit to Daman-e-Koh, a popular hilltop viewpoint in Islamabad, on the opening day of the tour.
The trophy will continue to travel to other iconic locations, including Murree on November 19 and Nathiagali on November 20 before making road to Taxila and Khanpur Dam, with visits planned to schools and colleges along the way.

The tour will then move to Karachi, Pakistan’s largest city, where the trophy will be displayed at several prominent locations from November 22 to 25, before embarking on its international journey.
After completing the Pakistan leg of the tour, the Champions Trophy will head to Afghanistan for a two-day stop before continuing on to the six other countries participating in the tournament.

The trophy will return to Pakistan on January 27, just three weeks before the tournament begins, for a final round of visits to key venues across the country.
The ICC Men’s Champions Trophy, the premier ODI competition after the World Cup, will officially kick off on February 19 and run until March 9. Pakistan will host matches in Lahore, Rawalpindi, and Karachi during this highly anticipated eight-nation event.
