ICHR-26 concludes successfully at Rehman Medical Institute with strong emphasis on research, collaboration and innovation

PESHAWAR : The three day International Conference of Health Research (ICHR-26) concluded on a high note at Rehman Medical Institute (RMI), bringing together a large number of researchers, healthcare professionals, academicians, and students from across Pakistan and abroad.

The event served as a major platform for academic exchange, interdisciplinary collaboration, and discussion on emerging healthcare challenges and solutions.

The closing ceremony was attended by Chief Executive Officer RMI Shafique Ur Rehman, Chairman and Founder Prof. Dr. Muhammad Rehman, and Chief Guest Prof. Dr. Rizwan Taj, President of the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC), along with senior faculty members and distinguished participants from multiple institutions.

Throughout the conference, participants engaged in extensive academic sessions, research presentations, panel discussions, and interactive forums addressing critical healthcare issues.Experts highlighted innovative approaches to improving patient care, strengthening medical education, and promoting evidence based clinical practice, reflecting a growing culture of research and collaboration in Pakistan’s health sector.

Addressing the closing ceremony, Prof.Dr. Rizwan Taj congratulated RMI for successfully organising the international conference and appreciated the institute’s strong academic standing with PMDC.He described Prof.Dr.Muhammad Rehman as an institution in himself and underscored the importance of strengthening medical education through quality research and global engagement.He encouraged young researchers to pursue meaningful scientific work, seek international research grants, and contribute to impactful advancements in healthcare.

CEO RMI Shafique Ur Rehman said the successful organisation of ICHR-26 despite challenging regional conditions reflected the institution’s firm commitment to academic excellence and knowledge sharing.Pakistan is not short of talent or insight, what we need is execution, he remarked, emphasising that research must move beyond presentations and translate into practical solutions that benefit communities and healthcare systems.

Chairman ICHR-26 Dr.Naseer Ahmad termed the conference a remarkable achievement, revealing that more than 2,000 participants attended the event both physically and online. He highlighted that key disciplines including medicine, dentistry, nursing, and rehabilitation sciences were comprehensively covered during the sessions, ensuring multidisciplinary participation and knowledge exchange.
Patron ICHR-26 Prof. Dr, Ghulam Rasool described the conference as “the power of knowledge in motion,” stressing the importance of converting research data and analysis into policy decisions and clinical practices that directly benefit communities.He also formally announced the schedule for the next edition of the conference, ICHR-2027, signalling continuity in RMI’s commitment to promoting research culture.

At the conclusion of the ceremony, certificates and honorary shields were awarded to organisers and participants for outstanding performance in rapid-fire sessions, quiz competitions, oral presentations, and poster competitions.

The conference ended with a renewed collective resolve among participants to further strengthen research partnerships, promote innovation, and enhance collaboration at national and international levels to improve healthcare outcomes in the years ahead.
