IHC accepts apology , dismisses contempt case against Imran Khan

LHC orders NAB to return passport to Maryam Nawaz

ISLAMABAD: October 3,2022: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) has accepted apology of Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) chairman , Imran Khan’, and dismissed the notice against him in contempt of court case

Imran Khan was present in the court when the bench headed by chief justice Athar Minallah gave the verdict .

A group of PTI leaders was also present in the court when it gave vedict in contempt case.

IHC had initiated the proceeding aginst Imran Khan for threatening district and session judge Islamabad , Zeba Chaudhary .

Imran Khan had used extremely objectionable language against the judge while addressing a public rally in Islamabad .

Imran Khan appeared before the court on Monday in tight security .

The relief for Imran Khan in contempt case has come as a big development for PTI.

The PTI could have serious repercusaion had the court indicted Imran Khan in the contempt case .

Imran Khan after the court decision , again bashed CEC , Raja Sultan Sikander and called him as a servant to PMLN .

In a separate development , Lahore High Court (LHC) had ordered the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) to return passport to Pakistan Muslim Ok eague Nawaz (PMLN) vice president , Maryam Nawaz. She had surrendered her passport to the LHC in Ramzan Sugar Mills in 2019.

These two developments on the same day indicate the courts are taking linenat view in high profile political cases. It also indicates the courts are going to give relief to political leadership in their cases to reduce political temperature in the country.
