Imam of the Prophet’s Mosque delivers Friday sermon in Kuala Lumpur, Calls for unity , compassion

Kuala Lumpur – August 8, 2025 : As part of his official visit to Malaysia to participate in the International Quran Conference, Sheikh Dr. Salah bin Muhammad Al-Budair, Imam and Khateeb of the Prophet’s Mosque in Madinah, delivered the Friday sermon at Masjid Negara in the Malaysian capital, Kuala Lumpur.

In his sermon, Dr. Al-Budair addressed key spiritual and societal themes, urging the Muslim Ummah to maintain unity and reject division. He emphasized the importance of mercy, mutual love, and cooperation in righteousness and piety, stating: Be connected for the sake of Allah, love one another for the sake of Allah, and cooperate in righteousness and piety.”*

He highlighted the virtue of compassion and serving others, reminding worshippers that the most beloved people to Allah are those who bring the greatest benefit to others. He also warned against harshness and the practice of exposing people’s faults.

Dr. Al-Budair concluded with a heartfelt call for repentance and a return to Allah, reflecting on the fleeting nature of worldly life and urging the faithful to seize the opportunity of life before it slips away.

The sermon drew a large congregation, including worshippers from diverse backgrounds and official delegations, who listened attentively to his moving message—combining divine guidance, sincere counsel, and a call to reform.
