Islamabad : Jan 11 : India as usual has resorted to dirty politics by delaying visas to Pakistanis who are scheduled to travel to Ajmer Sharif in India to join annual Urs .
The delay in issuing of visas to Pakistani who intend to travel to India to join annual Urs in Ajmer Sharif shrine is becoming an annual event for India. India High Commission in Islamabad. Last year too used the same tactics to delay issue visas to Pakistanis to travel to Ajmer Sharif , Indian High Commission in Islamabad played the same trick last year and issued visas to Pakistanis who intended to join annual Urs in Ajmer Sharif at the last minute. India High Commission in Islamabad is following wait and see policy for issuing visas to Pakistanis who have applied for visas to travel to India to join Ajmer Sharif to join annual Urs there. Hundreds of Pakistanis intend to go to Ajmer Sharif to attend annual Urs . As per 1994 agreement ,
India and Pakistan are required to facilitate citizens of each other ‘s country to attend religious gatherings. Hundreds of Indian nationals travel to Pakistan to attend religious ceremonies in Pakistan and Pakistan not only issue them visas in time , but also facilitate them to perform their rituals in a conducive environment .
It’s India which plays politics on the religious issues and creates problems for Pakistanis who intend to travel to Ajmer Sharif to join for annual Urs there.
Omar Butt , Spokesman to the ministry of Religious Affairs issued a statement here on the issue on Thursday, asking Pakistanis who have applied for travelling to Ajmer Sharif in India not to assemble in Lahore till they are asked to do so.
According to the Spokesman of Religious ministry, Pakistanis intending to travel to Ajmer Sharif must stay at home and wait for a message to come to Lahore and then to Ajmer Sharif.
