‘Indian nightengale’ Lata Mangeshkar takes her last breath

ISLAMABAD: Indian nightengale , Lata Mangeshkar, is no more. She took her last breath at an Indian hospital where she was admitted one month ago when her health started to deteriorate due to her protracted ailment, Indian media reported on Sunday. Lata Mangmashkar was 92. She, undoubtedly, was unique in singing and rightly deserved to be called as “The most popular of all singers of her time”.
Lata served entertainment world with her beautiful voice for decades and sung thousands of songs in her life. Lata recorded her first song at very we early age when she was a school girl. Her melodious voice elevated her to new highs of the world of music. Lata was also known as Goddess in Indian society . Her song were equally popular in all those countries where Urdu is understood.

Indian government awarded her the most prestigious award to recognise her great services to India as singer. Lata G lived a very simple life.
Lata had great appreciation for Mehdi Hasan and Madam Noor Jagan. She admired these Pakistani singers in media and general public many times.
Lata Mangeshkar’s death news was taken in Pakistan with grief and sorrow. Pakistani film industry called Lata’s death as shocking and painful.
Ali Azmat , a Pakistani singer, in his reaction to this sad news said Lata G was very great personality and her death was a shocking news for him.
