According to reports in the Indian media, the withdrawal follows the Indian government’s refusal to grant a no-objection certificate (NOC) for the team’s participation in the tournament.
The secretary stated, “We had been waiting for the past 25 days to receive the government’s approval to travel to Pakistan and ensure our participation in the T20 World Cup.”
