ISLAMABAD : Dec 14,2022: Minister of State for External Affairs, Hina Rabbani Khar, has said the international community, especially the United Nations and the Financial Action Task Force (FATF), should demand an answer from India on terrorist activities inside Pakistan.
Addressing a news conference at the Islamabad Foreign Office on Wednesday along with Spokesperson Mumtaz Zahra Baloch and others, she said that’’ we along with members of the United Nations Security Council have discussed Indian involvement in the Johar Town, Lahore terror attack,
‘’A dossier has been shared regarding Lahore incident ’’.
She said it would also be shared with the UN Secretary-General, hoping “they will look at this irrefutable evidence and fulfill his responsibility”.
Minister of State Hina Rabbani Khar said that the “Lahore incident is a test of the credibility and integrity of international counter-terrorism”. She said that “the world should be shown that efforts against terrorism are indiscriminate”. “International conscience cannot be held hostage to the political and economic needs of the moment.”
She said said that terrorism in all its forms and manifestations is condemnable as it is a serious threat to peace and security. The Minister of State expressed surprise that the perpetrators of terrorism are showing themselves as the biggest victims of terrorism today.
She said that “Lahore incident is a clear proof of terrorist attack which was planned and supported by India to target innocent citizens”.
She said that this reflects India’s continued hostility towards Pakistan and that it uses terrorist proxies to achieve nefarious ends.
Hina Rabbani Khar said that our professional law enforcement agencies and judicial authorities have brought to justice the perpetrators of this attack who have been convicted but are at the forefront.
“The mastermind and facilitators are still at large and are under Indian state patronage and protection,” the state minister said. She assured that Pakistan will follow this case continuously at all levels.
She said that India has become a recruiter, financier and facilitator of terrorist organizations and foreign terrorist fighters in the region. She said that India has a constant role in destabilizing neighboring countries and weakening their economies to advance its hegemonic ambitions in the region.
