Rawalpindi, 31 August 2026: An interactive session on the proposed Alternative Medicine & Health Products Rules, 2026 was held at the Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce & Industry (RCCI), chaired by Mr. Manzoor Ali Buzdar, Director, Health & OTC Division, DRAP, and co-chaired by Mr. Muhammad Danish Khan, Chairman RCCI Standing Committee for Health & OTC and Founder & Chairman NMAP.
The session was attended by the complete Health & OTC Division team of DRAP, with representatives of approximately 150 companies participating physically and over 100 joining online.
DRAP officials briefed participants on registration, licensing, nutraceuticals, herbal, homeopathic, OTC products, APIs, contract manufacturing and transition requirements. A demonstration of the new DRAP software was also conducted.
DRAP clarified key transition timelines, including six months for Form-6 conversion and eighteen months for Form-7 product registration.
The industry presented recommendations for greater facilitation, including expanded contract manufacturing opportunities.
