Interest-Free Loans for Punjab’s Livestock Farmers

Lahore (Newsman): Dr. Muhammad Tanveer Kalyar, Deputy Director (DD) Livestock, and Dairy Development Sargodha, announced on Wednesday that the Punjab government had chosen to provide interest-free loans to livestock producers up to Rs. 270,000, for which Rs. 11 billion had been set aside.

Speaking to APP, he stated that cattle owners with five to ten male calves, a valid CNIC card, and a mobile phone SIM card registered and activated in their names would be eligible for an interest-free loan of Rs. 135,000 to Rs. 270,000 for four months.

He stated that all livestock hospitals had established facility desks to accept applications under the livestock card and that farmers were being assisted by trained personnel in submitting applications via the app.

People might also apply via the app, he said, by sending a message to 8070 with the PLC (space) ID card number written in it.
