Interfaith solidarity strengthens Sikh community for Pro-Palestine demonstration

Bristol, [Oct ,22] – Renowned activist Rana Bisharat Ali Khan addressed the local Sikh Gurdwara in Bristol, extending an invitation to stand in solidarity for the pro-Palestine demonstration scheduled for October 29. Over the past two decades, Khan has fostered deep relationships with the Sikh community, and their unwavering support for his causes has been evident throughout various movements against oppression.

In his address, Khan highlighted the inclusive nature of his advocacy work, emphasizing that his efforts extend beyond specific regions or religious affiliations. Notably, he has played a crucial role in the Khalistan movement, actively participating in significant events such as the 20th Referendum at the United Nations in Geneva in 2002.

Khan’s commitment to interfaith collaboration was exemplified in his involvement in the opening of Kartarpur, the holy Gurdwara of Sikhs. On that momentous day, he also organized a convoy from Bristol to the United Nations in 2020, showcasing the enduring support of the Sikh community.

The upcoming pro-Palestine demonstration on October 29 further solidifies the bond between Khan and the Sikh community in Bristol. Their collective promise of full participation underscores a shared commitment to transcending barriers of color, caste, and religion in the pursuit of justice.

Speaking on this collaboration, Khan expressed, “This is the essence of our organization—to unite beyond superficial differences and raise our voices against every form of injustice. The Sikh community has consistently stood by me, and together, we aim to make a meaningful impact on the global stage.”
