DUBAI: Pakistan People Party (PPP) chairman, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, has called upon the foreign investors to come and invest in Pakistan.
Bilawal Bhutto Zardari was addressing to a galaxy of foreign investors here on Tuesday.
The PPP chairman said Pakistan was a potential destination for foreign investors and they should prefer it for their investment.
“We will provide you one window facility to avoid any hassal in doing business in Pakistan”, Bilawal Bhutto told the participants of the investors conference.
A big number of foreign imvestors participated in the conference.
Pakistan is seeking foreign investment in a number of key areas like energy, infrastructure, water projects, agriculture and farming.
Pakistan is one of the promising destinations for foreign investment. Unfortunately, Pakistan has failed to tap foreign investment in the recent past. Multiple factors have come into play to divert foreign investment from Pakistan. The on-going political uncertainity, law and order situation and over and above all these factors anti Pakistan drive in the international media damaged Pakistan’s efforts to allure foreign investment.
PPP chairman , Bilawal Bhutto Zardari’s effort to persuade foreign imvestors to prefer Pakistan for investment is a timely and significant call. The Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) government has not made any considerable effort in the last three and half years to seek foreign direct investment for Pakistan. Its seriousness in this regard could easily be guaged that Board of Investment, a department having prime duty to tap foreign investment, is running without its head for the last many months.
