Jeddah: Community gathering at consulate, Renowned Qari Syed Sadaqat Ali highlights “Quran and Paigham-e-Pakistan

Jeddah — A large number of community members attended a special gathering at the Pakistan Consulate in Jeddah, where renowned Qari Syed Sadaqat Ali addressed the audience on the theme “Quran and Paigham-e-Pakistan.”

Welcoming the guests, the Consul General emphasized the need for positive contributions that can raise Pakistan’s image in the comity of nations and help restore its dignity and glory.

In his address, Qari Sadaqat Ali recalled that during the 1980s, when Pakistan was facing waves of terrorism and suicide attacks, even mosques and Friday congregations were unsafe. At that time, scholars and religious leaders from all schools of thought came together and, in light of the Quran and Sunnah, issued a joint decree known as “Paigham-e-Pakistan.” The decree declared that terrorism and the killing of innocent people had nothing to do with Islam. He quoted the Quranic verse: “Whoever kills one innocent person, it is as if he has killed all of humanity, and whoever saves one life, it is as if he has saved all of humanity.”

Qari Sadaqat Ali added that he had the honor of presenting this decree for endorsement by leading scholars across the Islamic world. He stressed that Pakistan belongs to all of us, regardless of sect or school of thought, and urged the community to embrace patience and resilience, qualities necessary to become respectable and responsible Pakistanis.

He also thanked the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques for consistently supporting Pakistan in difficult times and acknowledged Saudi Arabia’s significant contribution to Pakistan’s economy. He further noted that Pakistanis must work collectively for national stability and economic growth, spreading the message that they are loyal to their country and will not be part of any wrongdoing.
