One should never despair of Allah’s mercy. After every difficult hour, Allah sees a good time. Man must hope for good times. As Muslims, we also believe that despair is disbelief. We should have good hope about our country Pakistan, said the Consul General of Pakistan in Jeddah, Khalid Majeed, while addressing the Easter ceremony held at the Consulate. He was the special guest of the Easter ceremony organized by the Christian Welfare Society. A large number of Pakistani Christian community and their families participated in the Easter celebration in Jeddah. In his address, the Consul General congratulated the Pakistani Christian community living in Saudi Arabia on the Easter festival and the role they play in the prosperity and development of Pakistan’s economy. Appreciate it. He appreciated his positive attitude not only for promoting brotherhood in Pakistan but also for global brotherhood which will promote peace and harmony in the world. He said, “I am grateful to Allah Almighty for giving me such a wonderful time in the midst of such a wonderful community.” I am grateful to Allah Almighty that He has considered me worthy to serve you people. We should have good hope about our country Pakistan. He said that the message of Jesus is immortal. According to his teaching, there is a need to spread the message of friendship, love and unity. He urged everyone to respect local laws and regulations. He said the consulate is your home. We would be happy if you celebrate your festival here with great discipline. He expressed Easter wishes and assured the Christian community of full cooperation and support from him and the consulate staff in all consular services. He said, “My biggest wish is that you celebrate the next festival in the new building of the consulate.”
Chairman John Gulzar paid tribute to the hard work and efforts of the organizing committee members for making the event a success. He praised the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 and thanked Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, and the Saudi Arabian government for their excellent policies and job opportunities for Pakistanis. He also thanked the Consul General and Consulate staff for their good wishes and for providing facilities in the Consulate premises. John Gulzar expressed his special gratitude to the Christian Society for the support of Consul General Pakistan Khalid Majeed. He was presented with a bouquet of flowers and a commemorative shield.
