JI backs decision not to handover bases to US, demands to table previous agreements in parliament

ISLAMABAD; Jamaat- e – Islami ameer senator , Sirajul Haq, has declared the decision of not giving bases to US as a wise step, but called upon the government to present all previous agreements with Washington to parliament for scrutiny.

Sirajul Haq expressed these views while addressing a gathering of the party workers in Faisalabad. JI women wing also attended the gathering in a large number.

Sirajul Haq endorsed the government decision of denying to give bases to US to carry on drone attacks in Afghanistan and called it as a good step. He said US used Pakistan as a fuel for Afghan war that killed 70 thousands Pakistanis since its start.

JI chief said Pakistan can not afford to fight others’s war on Afghan soil.

JI ameer criticised the Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) government and said prime minister, Imran Khan, took U turn on key decisions . He claimed that Imran Khan has failed to honour even his single promise since 2018 when his party came into power.

Sirajul Haq maintained that JI strongly believes i n giving share to women from inheritence as per Islamic laws.

He suggested that Election Commission should bar any man from contesting elections who fails to give legal share in inheritence to his sisters.

JI ameer has concluded his 3-day visit of Faisalabad. During hus stay in Faisalabad, JI addressed business community, lawyers and party organisations. Sirajul Haq advocated the party policy on governance during his 3-day stay in Faisalabad.
