JI laments anti traders government policy

ISLAMABAD. Jamaat Islami (JI) chief, senator Sirajul Haq condemned Pakistan Tehrik Insaf (PTi) govetnment policy of following International Monetory Fund (IMF) dictation in policy making which in his views led to economic crisis in the country. Addressing a Pakistan Business Forum (PBF) held at residence of JI leader and former member national assembly (MNA) , Mian Aslam, JI chief said PTI hired unelected and IMF sponsored clerks and other employees for preparing economic policies that put Pakistan’ econmic soveriginity at stake. He said these IMF employees will pick up their bags and leave Pakistan soon after end of Imran Khan government. Sirajul Haq claimed the government added in Pakistan’s foreign debt dangerously during first two years of rule and its continuity will be against the national interest. JI chief assured the business community that he will raise voice at all forums in and outside the parliament to force the government to take them into confidence before taking any decision about business activities. He also urged upon the business community that it should fulfil its responsibility to prove itself a true representative of the corporate community. “You are an important segment of the society and being traders its your responsibility to share some portion of your income with your employees and under privileged segment of the society”, senator Sirajul Haq said while concluding his address to PBF. A large number of trader bodies and industrialists representatives attended PBF gathering. The prominent participants included president Markazi Tanzeem e Tajran Pakistan, Kashif Chaudhary , former MNA Mian Aslam, Zahid Qureshi , Rana M Akram, Malik Najeeb, Habibullah Zahid , Malik Zaheer, Ishfaq Chatha .Markazi Anjman e Tajran president, Kashif Chaudhary in his address condemned the government’s apathy towards traders and industrialists of the country and demanded the rulers to give- up current economic policy of ignoring business community and go for a solo flight while taking decision about business activities. Mian Aslam said PTI goverment crippled businesses in the country during its two years rule. He said JI has a complete roadmap to make Pakistan a true welfare state. Habibullah Zahid demanded of JI chief to lead the traders protest against the government for its anti traders policy. Rana M Akram demanded of the government to establish a regulatory body for real estate sector to help it play a vibrant role in development of the country. Babar Chaudhary demanded an axil based carriage policy for protection of the roads . He said Afghan long wheelers carry huge extra load in the absence of axil based carriage policy and it was harming the local industry and infrastructure.
