Karachi Board Announces New Deadline for Matric Exam Forms

The deadline for submission of forms for the matriculation exam has been extended a second time without a late fee.

Karachi: On Wednesday, Zaheeruddin Bhutto, the Acting Director of Examinations, declared that the new window for submitting examination forms for the 2025 Class IX annual exams—including both science and general groups—is November 6–November 19, 2024.

Both private and regular applicants are eligible for this extension, which enables government schools to turn in their applications by the deadline without incurring late fees.

Bhutto highlighted that this is the last extension and that no more form submission delays will be allowed. According to the provincial education department’s plan, the 2025 matriculation exams are anticipated to be held in March.

A late fee, which will increase gradually, will be assessed to students who miss the deadline. There will be a late fee of Rs 500 from November 20 to December 3, Rs 800 from December 4 to December 17, Rs 1,200 from December 18 to January 1, 2025, Rs 1,500 from January 2 to January 15; Rs 1,800 from January 16 to January 24; and Rs 2,500 for any submissions made after this deadline.
