Karachi test day 2, New Zealand take charge with sound batting show

Pakistan make 154 score for 3 wickets

KARACHI: Jan 3,2022: Pakistan scored 154 runs by end of day 2 play of the second Karachi test and it lost 3 wickets.

Before start of the first inning of the match by Pakistan , New Zealand made 449 runs all out.

Pakistan still has a trail of 295 runs and it has 7 wickets in hand.

Pakistan ‘ s Imamul Haq played a stunning inning again . He made 74 runs off 121 balls . Pakistan’s captain , Babar Azam , remained unlucky and got run out without when his individual score was 24 runs only. Babar Azam’s run out has put Pakistan under pressure in the second test.

At the end of day 2 play, New Zealand is looking in a better performance . Despite calculated bowling by host side’s bowling squad , visiting team managed a good score of 449 runs in the first inning . Pakistan will have to play very responsible inning to avoid defeat in this decider.

New Zealand is in lead with win of first test played at Karachi cricket stadium. Pakistan will face white wash if it loses second test being played at Karachi cricket stadium.

A survey shows , 45 % chance of draw of the second test match . New Zealand has 28 % chances to win.Pakistan, however , at the moment has only 19 % chances of win the second test against New Zealand .

Draw is not a good option for Pakistan. In such a case , Pakistan will lose the series . Pakistan has an option of winning the second test against New Zealand to equalise the series and come up with a flat face . In case Pakistan loses the second test at Karachi cricket stadium , it will bring embarrassment for Pakistan XI and Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).

Pakistan had concealed whitewash at the hand of English team in a recently played test series in Pakistan .
