Karachi test ends up at draw

First test between New Zealand ,Pakistan remains interesting , record -making

KARACHI : Dec ,2022: The Karachi test match played between Pakistan and New Zealand has been drawn.

To make the match interesting, Pakistan captain Babar Azam declared his second innings for 311 runs with eight out and gave New Zealand a target of 138 runs and 138 runs in 15 overs. When Pakistan declared the innings, Saud Shakeel was not out on 55 and Mir Hamza was not out on 3 runs.
However, despite the efforts of the New Zealand team, the target could not be achieved and after the mutual consent of the two captains, the Empires announced the end of the match.

Earlier, in the second innings, the Green Caps scored 311 runs for the loss of 8 wickets and had a total lead of 137 runs over the Kiwis. On the final day of the match, Pakistan started their second incomplete innings with 77 runs with two out, with Imamul Haq 45 and night watch match Noman Ali at the wicket with 4 runs.
Noman Ali failed to increase his score and got out lbw for just 4 runs. National team captain Babar Azam was also a guest for just 14 runs and got out lbw off the ball of Ash Sodhi.
At the lunch break, Imamul Haq was on the wicket with 81 runs and Sarfaraz Ahmed with 49 runs. After the lunch break, Sarfaraz Ahmed completed his fifty, but he became a victim of Ash Sodhi by scoring 53 runs. Salman Ali Agha also scored 6 runs. He was bowled by Ash Sodhi while Imamul Haq scored 96 runs and was stumped while trying to hit a six off Ash Sodhi while Muhammad Wasim Jr. also became a victim of Ash Sodhi by scoring 43 runs.
It should be remembered that in the first innings of the Karachi Test, the Pakistani team was bowled out for 438 runs, in response to which New Zealand declared their first innings for 612 runs with 9 out.
New Zealand declared for 612 runs in the first innings, Kane Williamson scored 200 runs not out, Abrar Ahmed took 5 wickets and Noman Ali took 3 wickets. Kane Williamson declared player of the match.
