Khushdil Khan Malik meets vice chairman overseas Pakistanis commission-Punjab in Rochdale

Islamabad – Former Additional Secretary to the Government of Pakistan and former Provincial Minister Khyber Pakhtoonkhwa, Khushdil Khan Malik, who is now a days on the visit of United Kingdom, has met the Vice Chairman, Overseas Pakistanis Commission-Punjab, Barrister Amjad Malik in Rochdale. At this occasion, Former Coordinator of the Prime Minister Azad Jammu & Kashmir Raja Nazim Ali and Member of District Council Mirpur (AJK), Mirza Muhammad Ilyas were also accompanied Mr. Malik.

During the meeting with Barrister Amjad Malik, various efforts of Government of Pakistan and Government of the Punjab for the welfare and protection of rights of the Overseas Pakistanis living abroad were discussed in detail and it was noted with great satisfaction that after the establishment of special courts for Overseas Pakistanis in Pakistan by enactment of the special law, will solve many property issues of OSPs in their homeland within shortest timeframe as stipulated in the said law.

During the meeting, various issues pertaining to OSPs were also discussed and it was observed that OSPs must obtain their NICOPs which are issued by NADRA through an extremely easy process, which will enable Pakistani diaspora to acquire property in Pakistan, in addition to become Members of Parliament to represent Overseas Pakistanis, which is being considered by the present Government, for which constitutional amendment will be enacted by the Parliament of Pakistan soon, therefore, they should take benefit by applying for NICOP being their Pakistani identity and inbuilt visa facility, instead of misusing the online visa facility which is exclusively for foreigner and not for OSPs, who are required to obtain NICOPs from NADRA, either online or through all Pakistan Missions abroad.

On this occasion, it was also informed that the community has highly applauded the brave Armed Forces for glorious victory over India in the recent war which has brought pride and pleasure for the diaspora living in United Kingdom like all over the world and such great victory is being celebrated at community level in all over U.K by holding many marches on the roads with chanting slogans “Pakistan Zindabad” and in favour of Armed Forces and similarly this time Independence day will be celebrated with great pump and show on 14th August on the historic victory of Pakistan in “Marika e Haq”.

While thanking the visit of Mr. Malik to U.K for resolution of issued of OSPs pertaining to Pakistan Missions in U.K, he was presented a souvenir by Mr.Amjad Malik to commemorate his such visit to United Kingdom.
