KARACHI, November 29, 2024: Kot Addu Power Company, Pakistan’s largest power plant, has submitted a bid to supply 120 MW of electricity for K-Electric’s solar project in Karachi at a rate of PKR 9.83 per unit.
This offer, which is 71% lower than K-Electric’s current average tariff (excluding subsidies), could power 7,500 households in the city.

The bid, made for the solar project to be set up in Deh Halkani, Karachi, will now await approval from the National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) after undergoing a competitive bidding and evaluation process.
