Perera , Raza play magic to win PSL-X final title for Lahore Qalanders

Lahore : Vow what a match of PSL -X final was. It was a great match by all means. It had thrills and tense moments . The final match kept swaying either way. Both Quetta Gladiators and Lahore Qalanders put in their best to become the PSL champion. Quetta Gladiators at one stage seemed in control of the match. It had set a good total on board of 202 runs and its bowlers particularly , Ibrar Ahmad and Mohammad Amir gave a wonderful performance with the ball.

But Lahore Qalanders ‘ batting line remained undeterred of big total of 202 runs and despite losing Fakhar Zaman , a key player to win over the matches when the opposite side sets a big total to chase. Fakhar Zaman lost his wicket when his individual score was only 10 runs. After his departure , Naeem took the charge . He played a great game and got out when his individual score was 43 runs.

In Sunday’s PSL-X final Kusal Perera and Sikander Raza played a great inning to shore their team led by Shaheen Shah Afridi to win the final . It was really a great final.

Both Quetta Gladiators and Lahore Qalanders played the best cricket . The audience too remained extremely joyous . It remained charged throughout the match. Since PSL-X final was played in Lahore , Lahore Qalanders do have an edge of home ground over Quetta Gladiators , but the crowd supported both teams from the beginning of the match to the end.

Kusal Perera and Asif Raza’s partnership made things happen for Lahore Qalanders. In the dramatic end, the match’s final closed in the final over. Lahore Qalanders needed 14 runs in the last over. It was Sikander Raza ‘s turn now to hit big ones and snatch the match from Quetta Gladiators and he did it . He hit one four and one six and played a winning hit at the second last ball of the last over of the match.

With Sunday’s great win , Lahore Qalanders became HBL PSL champion for third time.
