LHC resumes hearing today in Governor’s advice case; Chaudhary Pervez Elahi’s political future seems in limbo

LAHORE : Jan 10 ,2023: As timeline expires for the ruling parties in Punjab to protect Lahore throne, the political fate of younger Chaudhary of Gujrat hangs on Lahore High Court (LHC) possible ruling in Governor Baligh Ur Rehman’s advice to the chief minister to take vote of confidence from the house to prove his majority case.

Chaudhary Pervez Elahi had got a big relief from LHC in Governor’s order case for calling a session of the Punjab assembly and take vote of confidence.

Chaudhary Pervez Elahi had moved the court against the Governor’s
advice .

The court on assurance giving by Chaudhary Pervez Elahi that he will not dissolve Punjab assembly had restored his rule with full authority

The court had deferred the case till January 11 (Wednesday) for hearing.

When hearing resumes ,LHC can ask Chaudhary Pervez Elahi to take vote of confidence as its a constitutional requirement after Governor ‘s order . In such a case , Chaudhary Pervez Elahi may lose his government as a number of PTI members of Punjab assembly do not want to vote for him due to his slippery character .
.
Although , Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) and Pakistan Muslim League ( Pervez Group) are claiming of enjoying majority in the House . But they could not dare to take vote of confidence from the House .

Chaudhary Pervez Elahi is losing confidence of ruling parties members. Momina Waheed is the first to herself from the ruling party and declare that she will not vote for Pervez Elahi if he goes for seeking vote of confidence . Momina’s claim that around 20 to 25 members of PTI will not vote for Chaudhary Pervez Elahi can seal his political future once for all.
