This picture was taken on 20th March 2023 at 1330 hours below the shade of trees over a cup of coffee, at a public park in Islamabad of two friends, who had an eventful life and both agreed that peace and freedom have no price and sadly both are stake in the ongoing political madness .
Brig. Saif Ullah Orakzai,a brave soldier and commander, who served under Honourable Nawabzada and many a time repulsed onslaughts from across the border at the the risk to his own life, security of his family and safety of his friends . I remember once having visited him at the Ghalanai Fort in Momand agency during the holy month of Ramadan. Once up for Sehari that we came to know the Saif Ullah had left in a mad rush for the border that was under fierce attack.
Today both agree that unless there is collective realisation from bottom to top that both freedom and peace have no price and at not cost should be sacrificed if at all we need a better future for our future generation that we must not leave legacies that we are ashamed of tomorrow. The ongoing political madness must end and there should be saner element who must prevail on both parties who try the other wrong and unless there is third party intervention this crisis is risking Pakistan’s sovereignty.
