Islamabad March 1, 2026: The Pakistan Medical & Dental Council (PM&DC) has announced an important relief for medical and dental postgraduate students and degree holders who were admitted before 16 January 2023.
In its meeting held on 7 January 2026, the PM&DC Council decided that all cases of students and degree holders who were admitted or completed their degrees till 16 January 2023 will be registered after the award of their degree by PM&DC.
For students admitted after 16 January 2023, it will be mandatory that the degree-awarding institution is recognized by PM&DC, and
The training center is accredited under Section 25 of the PM&DC Act 2022.
This relief applies to qualifications such as MS, MD, MDS, MPhil, PhD, FCPS, MCPS, and various diploma programs obtained from Pakistani universities, institutions, and the College of Physicians and Surgeons Pakistan (CPSP).
PM&DC has directed all eligible candidates to complete the registration process in accordance with the prescribed procedures.
