JEDDAH (Saudi Arabia) :The Punjab provincial assembly member and the Punjab Land Record Authority (PLRA) chairman, Chaudhry Tariq Subhani, has said Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz has completely transformed the overall environment of the province through her proactive governance and tireless efforts to facilitate the public.
Addressing a dinner reception hosted in Jeddah by Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) Chairman Chaudhry Muhammad Akram, Chaudhry Tariq Subhani stated that while opposition parties have the right to criticize, even political opponents are compelled to acknowledge that positive change is evident in Punjab and that tangible work is being carried out on the ground.
He remarked that it would not be an exaggeration to say that Maryam Nawaz has surpassed even her father, former Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif, and her uncle, former Chief Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, in terms of performance. He added that her governance has left political rivals concerned about how to challenge PML-N in Punjab in the next general elections.
Highlighting the performance of the Punjab Land Record Authority, Chaudhry Tariq Subhani emphasized that overseas Pakistanis are a vital asset for PML-N and the Punjab government. He said concrete steps are being taken to resolve issues faced by overseas Pakistanis related to property and other official matters, enabling them to focus on their professional responsibilities abroad with peace of mind.
He informed the gathering that the land record system is being fully digitized and that, following the model of the special desk established in the United Kingdom, dedicated facilitation desks for overseas Pakistanis will be set up across the world.
Paying tribute to the host, Chaudhry Muhammad Akram, Chaudhry Tariq Subhani said that Akram is both his mentor and brother, from whom he learned many political principles. He expressed happiness over being invited to Jeddah and appreciated the gathering of people from diverse backgrounds under one roof.
The event was also addressed by former Advisor to the Chief Minister Punjab and Chairman Pakistan Investors Forum Chaudhry Azhar Abbas Warraich, Pakistan Peoples Party President Tasawur Chaudhry, Convener Pakistan National Solidarity Forum Sardar Waqas Inayatullah Khan, Sharif Zaman from the Welfare Forum, Chairman Jammu and Kashmir Overseas Committee Engineer Arif Mughal, President Rabita Committee Raja Muhammad Riaz, President Muslim Conference Sardar Ashfaq, and General Secretary Pakistan National Solidarity Forum Chaudhry Zaheer Ahmed. All speakers welcomed Chaudhry Tariq Subhani to Jeddah and congratulated him on performing Umrah.
Earlier, host and PML-N Chairman Chaudhry Muhammad Akram thanked all the guests for their participation, recalled his long-standing association with the Warraich family, and highlighted the services of the Subhani family.
