ISLAMABAD: The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) on Friday filed a petition brfore the Supreme Court challenging the decision of Islamabad High Court (IHC) in Shahid Khaqan Abbasi reference in LNG terminal case.
NAB has raised a legal question in the case and sought guidence of the Supreme Court of Pakistan.
In a 12-page petition , NAB has submitted the documentary and circumstantial evidence that resulted in filing of a case against Shahid Khaqan Abbasi and others in LNG terminal reference.
NAB’s petition also gives a comprehensive detail of the complainants that moved the bureau to launch inquiry in the case.
The documentary evidence of misuse of authority by the accused in LNG terminal 1 project is also part of the petition .
NAB prays to the apex court of Pakistan to reverse IHC’s decision in LNG terminal reference case.
NAB seems under huge pressure as a result of judgements given by IHC in Khawaja Asif, Ahsin Iqbal and now Shahid Khaqan Abbasi case.
IHC has set aside NAB’s arguments in all these three cases.
The judgements in these three important cases have left NAB in total disarray.
SC has accepted NAB’s petition for hearing. Its date for hearing may be intimated to all parties concerned accordingly.
