The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Tuesday strongly condemned attack by mob of workers of a political party on its.Lahore office on appearance of Pakistan Muslim League (PML N) senior vice president, Maryam Nawaz , in land procurement case. NAB in its statement issued on August 11, 2020 said Maryam Nawaz was summoned by NAB in person to give her statement in land procurement reference and she was supposed to honour NAB ‘s sanctity and simply come.to its office in Lahore for recording of her statement. The NAB said on appearance of Maryam Nawaz a mob of PMLN workers attacked its.Lahore office. The assailants hurled stones and bricks on NAB office damaging.its windows besides injuring some.of its employees. The statement added that NAB will file a first information report (FIR) against those who attacked NAB office to stop it from functioning its work. The NAB also decided to take all possible security measures to avoid such untoward incidents in the future. “NAB is a national institution and it has nothing to do with politic and Tuesday’s incident of.attack by a mob of.political party workers was totally unfortunate and unacceptable. NAB despite such pressure tactics will continue to perform its duty in any circumstance”, NAB statement concluded.
