ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Medical Commission (PMC) has announced to hold national MDCAT on November 29, 2020.
A PMC announcement made on Wednesday said upon compliance of the directions of Sindh High Court ( SHC), national MDCAT will be held on November 29, 2020.
The new development has come after a week of the Sindh High Court (SHC) decision on the issue.
A week ago, SHC had stopped PMC from holding national MDCAT unless it constitutes the medical and dental education board and council, a legal requirement under PMC amended act 2020, to formulate syllabus for the test.
PMC has already issued roll numbers to the aspirining candidates for appearing in the entry test 2020.
PMC further announced the students who got registered themselves by November 6, 2020 will be eligible for appearing in the entry test scheduled for November 29, 2020.
The National University of Medical Sciences (NUMS) will administer the upcoming medical and dental entry test.
The test will comprise of 200 MCQs. The candidates will be given two hours to answer these 200 MCQs. The subjectwise weightage will be as following. Biology 80 , Chemistry 60, Physics 40 and English 20 MCQs. Each MCQ will carry 5 marks. There will be no negative marking in national MDCAT.
