Nawaz Sharif moves IHC for protective bail

Court issues notices to NAB, others

ISLAMABAD : Oct 18 : Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PMLN) supremo , Mian Nawaz Sharif , has moved the Islamabad High Court (IHC) for protective bail in Al- Azizia and Avanfield property concealment case on his return to Pakistan.

On behalf of Nawaz Shaif his counsel Mohammad Amjad Pervez advocate filed the application before IHC for protective bail of PMLN top leader.

A two-member bench headed by Justice Aamer Farooq, and comprising Justice Miangul Hassan Aurangzeb heard the three-time prime minister’s request for protective bail. After initial hearing in the case, the court issued notices to the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) and the state for Thursday.

Mohammad Amjad Pervez Advocate while presenting the case of PMLN supremo for protective bail said his client (Mian Nawaz Shaif ) never misused his bail. He strongly advocated that his client (Mian Nawaz Sharif ) be granted protective bail to provide him an opportunity to surrender before the case .

Since PMLN top leader is returning to Pakistan on October 21 it’s expected that the court will decide the case on priority. Mian Nawaz Shaif had left Pakistan for treatment in United Kingdom in 2019. Nawaz Sharif is scheduled to return to Pakistan on October 21. His party is preparing for according a rosy welcome to Nawaz Sharif .
