KARACHI; Chief minister Sindh, Syed Murad Ali Shah, on Saturday declared zero death dur to Corona virus in the province during the last 24 hours. According to the chief minister, 9738 tests were conducted in the province during the last 24 hours and only 230 cases were tested positive. The Sindh had been worst hit province from COVID-19 since breakout of the pandemic in Pakistan in Februrary last. Since then the provincial government was utilising every possible option to fight out the pandemic.
Saturday’s announcement of the chief minister of no death in the province from Corona virus is a good news for Pakistan. It confirms dying down of the corona virus in the country.
The official statistics show the same trend of the Corona virus in other provinces as well.
Pakistan is the only country in the world, which coped -up with Corona virus in the record time without suffering comparatively major loss of lives and to some extent to its economy. It’s total loss of human lives as of September 5, 2020 stands over six thousands and it managed to keep loss to the economy to possible low level by adopting novel approach of smart lock down to beat out the pandemic. The world has acknowledged Pakistan’s success against COVID-19.
Dr Faisal Sultan, prime minister’s advisor on health and focal person for Corona related strategy of the federal goverment had told a press briefing the other day that the Corona virus was slowing down rapidly in Pakistan. Despite major ‘recovery,
Pakistan is following a conscious approach on Corona virus. Even today with nominal positive cases and flattening of the curve, it is still urging the people to follow Corona related guidelines strictly.
