ISLAMABAD: The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has granted M/s Echo Oil (Pvt) Limited a license to operate as an oil marketing company (OMC) and allowed it to setup 97 outlets in Punjab in the first phase.
OGRA issued grant to M/s Echo Oil (Pvt) Limited on March 16, 2023. M/s Echo Oil (Pvt) Limited is owned by Mehar Group which is already known name in Pakistan’s downstream oil industry. Mehar Group has a fast growing network of petrol pumps in Pakistan. Its head office is situated in Islamabad. Over the years, Mehar Group has earned reputation of a responsible corporate company operating in downstream industry of Pakistan.
M/s Echo Oil (Pvt) Limited has a storage at Thalian with a MS storage capacity of 3868 MT.
OGRA in its letter addressed to all concerned government departments said M/s Echo Oil (Pvt) Limited “ The Licensee” is allowed to operate its new oil storage at Thalian having capacity of MS-3868 MT & HSD-9016 MT and initiate marketing/ sale in the Punjab, in exercise of the powers conferred under provisions of OGRA Ordinance 2002 read with Pakistan Oil (Refining , Blending, Transportation, storage and marketing ) Rules 2016 , as amended from time to time, on the terms and conditions given thereafter, in addition to the Rules IBID.
Talking to NEWSMAN, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) , Kashif Mehar said M/S Echo Oil (Pvt) Limited of Mehar Group, is entering in Pakistan’s downstream industry with a commitment to serve Pakistan. He added that M/s Echo Oil (Pvt) Limited will deliver as per law to serve downstream oil industry of Pakistan.
