Karachi: A unique fusion of sports and technology made history in Karachi as OlymTech Season 2 concluded in a spectacular fashion, claiming the title of the largest Digital Leaders Sports Gala in Pakistan. Over 500 participants, including female athletes, joined the mega event with unmatched energy and showcased extraordinary talent.
In competitions such as cricket, paddle tennis, and other sports, participants demonstrated remarkable skill, discipline, and sportsmanship. The thrilling paddle tennis matches especially captured the audience’s attention, with male and female players delivering exceptional performances that elevated the event’s prestige. Exciting moments on the field and enthusiastic cheering from spectators created a memorable atmosphere.
The gala aimed to promote healthy activities, teamwork, and a balanced lifestyle among IT professionals. Traditionally confined to academic and professional pursuits, IT specialists demonstrated that they not only excel in their careers but also embrace sports and a healthy lifestyle enthusiastically. Over 400 players participated in team competitions, exemplifying leadership, collaboration, and positive social behavior.
The event was graced by Chief Guests Rana Mashood Ahmad Khan, Chairman of the Prime Minister’s Youth Programme, and Akbar Ali Khan, Chancellor of Sir Syed University of Engineering and Technology. In their addresses, they emphasized empowering youth through sports and education:
