Overseas Global Foundation strongly condemns former PM Imran Khan’s anti-army statement*

Jeddah: The Overseas Global Foundation has issued a strong condemnation of former Prime Minister Imran Khan’s recent remarks criticizing the Pakistani military. The foundation expressed deep concern, stating that as overseas Pakistanis, they understand the strong bond between the military and the people, and they will continue to stand by the Pakistan Army.

Speaking on the matter, Khalid Cheema, President of the Saudi Arabia Chapter of the Overseas Global Foundation, emphasized that the Pakistan Army holds a special place in their hearts. He termed Imran Khan’s statement a “deliberate conspiracy” aimed at pushing the country into further crisis. Cheema stressed that this is a time to work for the nation’s progress, not to sow discord. He further noted, “We are facing external threats and must work to ensure the country’s prosperity. Such statements only harm national unity.”

Senior member Muhammad Adeel also voiced his disapproval of Imran Khan’s remarks, stating that while such rhetoric from adversaries might be expected, it is inexcusable for a leader to incite division within the country. Adeel called for collective efforts to pave the way for Pakistan’s development rather than obstruct it.

The Chairman of the foundation, Chaudhry Zaheer Mehar, added his voice to the condemnation, calling for stringent action against the former prime minister’s divisive statements. He stressed the importance of respecting national institutions like the army and urged all citizens to support their efforts for the country’s stability.

All members of the Overseas Global Foundation agreed that this is a critical time for the nation’s progress, and the Pakistani military’s role is vital. The foundation remains united in its support for the Pakistan Army.
